I GOT THE JOB!!!

After a year of disappointment in Illinois, I have finally found a job!!!! My interview with Highland High School last week went really well. While my mom and I were coming home from Michaels today, I got a call from the social studies department head just wanting to ask me a few questions since he had missed the interview. We talked for about 15 minutes and at the end he said, "I'm really hoping to get you in here." Even with that, I was excited but guarded. I didn't need to be though, because 5 minutes later, the principal called and offered me the position!!!

Now, whoever might have been looking outside at our house at that time is probably thinking that a bunch of loonies live here because after hanging up the phone, I literally jumped on Greg and he, my mom, and I started screaming and jumping up and down. Then Greg did a cartwheel. (He probably won't be happy I put that little detail in, but I liked it a lot).

So, I will officially start January 5th teaching World History and Government. I'm excited and nervous all at the same time. But mostly excited. Thanks to everyone who was praying for me.

I did NOT do a cartwheel. There was a bee on me AND I was on fire... that was my super-bee-avoiding-fire-extinguishing-manwheel. duh!

Congratulations, by the way. I LOVE you!!
