Introducing...Katniss Evergreen!

After a wonderful experience last year with Justin Trieber, Greg and I decided to go with a real Christmas tree again this year.  Instead of getting it Thanksgiving weekend though, since it was SUPER dry by Christmas, we went about 2 weeks ago to pick her out.

We found a lovely tree at Home Depot and thanks to my mom's nice SUV, we took her home and set her up.

Introducing our 2011 tree...Katniss Evergreen.

We decided to give our trees fun "pop culture" names each year...hence Justin Trieber last year.  This year, in line with our love of the Hunger Games books, we chose to name our tree after the heroine from the series, Katniss Everdeen.  But we made it a little more tree like, obviously.

I was super excited to have my tree finally and I, of course, made Greg take some AWESOME pics with the tree.

After cleaning up all of the lovely needles that fell in the house as we brought her in, I went about the fun task of decorating the tree.  I love this part because I get to go through all of the fun ornaments that I've collected over the years.  Some of my favorites:
