At the beginning of 2011, Greg and I had made a goal to complete a new study that our church was doing with couples called "ReEngage." We had the book but weren't in the small group study and that proved to be our undoing. Needless to say, we did not complete the study in the time we had given ourselves.
So, when a few couples from our regular small group threw out the idea of doing the ReEngage program, we were totally in! We split from our small group for 19 or so weeks and checked off my very first goal...
1. Complete “Re|Engage” with Greg
I think that the ReEngage process is a fantastic program for married couples that are struggling or going through a rough time. The study is definitely designed for couples in crisis, which made some of the questions difficult to answer for our group full of couples just looking for a small tune-up or looking to grow stronger. It provided some great opportunities for discussion as a group and discussion as individual couples. It was good to actually talk about marriage with our friends, a topic that all too often gets ignored.
All in all, ReEngage was a great experience and provided us all with some great laughs and good discussions with our dear friends. I'm excited to get back to our regular small group this month. Thanks ReEngage!
